Thread Summary
Mattpears1, a PhD student, claims to have solved a puzzle related to a book, identifying an animal in image 12 and connecting it to historical figures like Sir Walter Scott. They mention Ishihara dots and a map in the image, hinting at a hidden message. They plan to share a detailed answer later. Other users like gqchu question the need for a new topic when there are existing discussions on the same subject. Karleen points out that the original post is from 2015 and recent comments have brought it back up. Atdreamer2112 speculates that the original poster may not have found anything substantial. The forum members discuss the dynamics of new users joining the conversation and the supportive community within the forum.

Hi I am a PhD student in the uk.I have created this topic and joined today as I recently came across the book and as verse 10 was said to be easier I took to solving it.
I believe I have, I can tell you what the animal is in image 12 and where it came from and who it refers to, there are two people(sir Walter Scott one of them), the colour dots are the Ishihara dots however they mean something else, which both people involved had a connection to.
I can tell you which island the verse refers to as the final place is south of the island. The image itself is a map and once i found this out it got easier, there is a reason why the symbols are placed in the places they are.
Anyway I will post a big answer later today but I want to ensure I am acknowledged for the result. So by righting the words ' mangrass' (it's encoded) I believe this is the last key and if the treasure is found everyone will now I new it due to this link.
this is real, I have strong justification for every line in the verse and apart from the odd symbol in the image everything strongly links together.
Thanks
Choice
He left a link to his solve that is dead now.

Great but why did you feel impelled to open a new topic when there are two topics already on image and verse?
You probably have a euphoric "feel great" moment as everyone did, but remember it just another among hundreds of theories.

the original poster, posted this in 2015. It's the comment asking him if he had any luck that brought this back to the top of the list.

Maybe this new hunter was just trying to do exactly what we encourage every new person to do,"read and research every page... all of it" and didn't even realize they bumped a 2015 post.
Jcrisp83, welcome to the hunt. I genuinely doubt the original poster (OP) found anything, because after 3 or 4 posts, they fade forevermore from this forum, never to return.
There are a bunch of wonderful welcoming people here on Q4T. The last estimates I heard were somewhere between 30 and 1,000 fairly friendly folks. Don't be frightened, we're all still here... hiding down our own rabbit holes.
